In September, 1925, the long-held dream of the Reverend Thomas F. McCarthy,
Pastor of Saint Clement Parish, came to fruition. Out of that dream came the
opening of Saint Clement High School. Under the direction of Sister Mary Ester,
Principal, and a faculty comprised of Sisters of Saint Joseph, the traditions
of academic excellence and Catholic values merged into the energy and spirit
that has continued to the present.
For over seven decades, Saint Clement Parish Schools have brought forth values
that are firmly based on our Catholic tradition. At Saint Clement Parish Schools
we are committed to developing a morally aware, independent thinker--a student
capable of thinking, judging, and acting with logical and ethical reasoning. We
offer an environment that provides the opportunity for a deepening of faith,
giving the student a base for spiritual reflection that will last a lifetime.
There is no greater gift one can give to one's child. Saint Clement Parish
Schools is committed to guiding students to achieve their maximum academic
potential and to utilize their God-given gifts and talents to enhance the
greater community.
Here at Saint Clement we foster a sense of community that incorporates
self-respect and respect for others. Our professional teaching staff shares in
the daily responsibility for students' formation through the example of their
own behavior and through their support of students in the spiritual life of
school. This has a deep impact, which is evident in the high quality of the
students attending Saint Clement Junior/Senior High School.
Our junior high school prepares students in grades 7 and 8 for success in high
school. Saint Clement's structure and curriculum teach the student how to
study, hot to establish long-term goals, how to be responsible for one's own
conduct and actions, how to work respectfully with others, and how to encourage
the success of friends and peers.
Our senior high school prepares students to be lifelong learners. Over 90% or
our graduates go on to college. Many Saint Clement graduates attend colleges
throughout the country, including Boston College, Wellesley College, Tufts
University, Babson College, College of The Holy Cross, and the United States
Military Academy at West Point, to name just a few.
At Saint Clement Parish Schools we live our motto, "Non Sibi Sed Omnibus," "Not
for Oneself Alone, but for Others," exemplifying the true meaning of community.
This is seen through the student-to-student and student-to-faculty
relationships. For many students, Saint Clement Parish Schools has always been a
"home away from home." We pride ourselves on this closeness, where racial and
cultural diversity are welcomed and celebrated.
